Hey Guys,
Great links, fascinating articles. I could read this stuff for weeks. Just one tiny bit of caution for everyone in "Babble Land". Some of these studies are sponsered by the drugs companies, so the results have viewed very carefully.
Once again, thank you!

Thanks for both of the great links.
Here's my question for anyone who can help:
If you go to the link Peter provided, click on Wellbutrin and scroll down to April 2001 where it says "drug interactions with paxil/prozac/effexor (generic names are provided).........
Am I reading this correctly--?--Wellbutrin reduces the effect of Effexor but not Prozac or Paxil's efficacy?
Many people are prescribed Wellbutrin and Effexor together. Doesn't make sense.
Confused, JM

JM asked the following:
> If you go to the link Peter provided, click on Wellbutrin and scroll down to April 2001 where it says "drug interactions with paxil/prozac/effexor (generic names are provided).........
> Am I reading this correctly--?--Wellbutrin reduces the effect of Effexor but not Prozac or Paxil's efficacy? The article describes the effect of adding Wellbutrin to someone already on Paxil or Prozac or Effexor. It says that the blood levels of Effexor went up (potentially *increasing* both its effectiveness and its side effects), but the Paxil and Prozac were unchanged. It doesn't say how much it went up, and I don't have the article handy. It also said the Effexor metabolite (o-desmethylvenlafaxine) level went down, meaning the Wellbutrin probably slowed down Effexor's breakdown, making it last longer.
