4 yrs ago i use to party pretty hard with captain morgan(rum)and some of the finest buds(weed)but there came a turning point in my life having 3 children and a beautiful wife i decided to try to stop smoking ciggarettes my doc gave me wellbutrin which really f ed me up. so i told him and he says to just stop taking it so i did.and i went through sheer hell i developed severe depression panic attacks pycosis and started hearing thoughts in my head to hurt my children (which i could never do i love them waaaay too much) finally after 2 months igot to a shrink who saved my life i was started on celexa and zyprexa but these meds took awile to take effect so i was out of work for 4 months.although the med helped my brain i had a sudden onset of type 2 diabetes from zyprexa blood pressure shot through the roof from celexa.recently i gained alot of weight from zyprexa 35lbs so was switched to seroquel and had a rough time woke up nervous dry heaving dizzy felt stoned all day started getting depressed again.out of work for past 4 days.starting to feel better now but if any one has had same problems please let me know.i am happy to say i have been alcohol free for 3 yrs cocaine free for ten pot free for two weeks and plan on staying that way. i still smoke cigarettes and got to have my coffee. but such is life.e-mail me at barnette_kevin33@yahoo.com sometime i think there really is a god.

I believe there is.I'm glad, for your sake and for the sake of your children, that you went to see a doctor who was able to put you on some appropriate medications. Yes, the side-effects can be a problem. Sometimes it comes down to choosing the "lesser" of the two problems, i.e. thoughts about hurting your children vs. feeling dizzy. Sometimes too, the drug side-effects will lessen with time, but ALWAYS let your doctor know about the effects the drug is having on you.
I haven't really had the same experience/issues as you. I'm hoping someone else who has responds to your post. I have no doubt that SOMEONE on this board has. You may want to browse through the other threads/posts on this board. I've learned a lot that way and have ended up "meeting" other posters that way.
Keep doing what you're doing, keep talking to your doc., and, by all means, keep posting!
