When I was on Wellbutrin, my aggressive side was through the roof!!

People at work would tell me that they felt as if they were "walking on eggshells" around me, you'd never know what would set me off. Thank god that nightmare is over...

The doc tried to put me on Serzone at the same time to try to "balance out" the negativity. I only liked the Wellbutrin because it gave me so much energy and motivation, but ultimately it wasn't such a good idea. Anyway, the Serzone didn't help too much, only made me extremely tired and didn't offset the aggression at all...

Good luck...

I am bipolar II and when I switched from Paxil to Wellbutrin to see if it would help with depression I really went hypomanic ..at first it was gradual but then all my medications stopped working. My psychiatrist put me back on Paxil.
I even cut the dosage in half.

Dopamine puts you into a kind of self centered driven state, you may be bugged by anyone and anything that gets in your way.

YOu may find that anything that gets in your way is trying to personaly hinder you. Excess dopamine makes everything revolve around you.

You can try reducing the dosage, and/or adding a SSRI which may ballance the driven state.

Welbutrin also made me very agitated, almost homicidal. I could have easily ripped someones arm off and beat them to death with it. Welbrutrin is also perscribed under another name as an aid for people to stop smoking. Almost everyone that I know that has taken this med either for depression or to stop smoking has had the same side effects you mentioned.
