get serious. bristol myers squibb is in alot of trouble finacially and do you think they would market their hopefully blockbuster drug at 13 dollars a pill? i called my pdoc and he said it has to be comparable to zyprexa in cost because that is the drug they are going after. he also said we should expect abilify to be on the shelves next week. packaging and labeling are done!

The 20 and 30mg amounts are 13 bucks though.
which makes geodon (3.83 each) a better buy
canadian prices are still better.

Hi,
Is Abilify in the same class as risperdone, zyprexa, and the other atypical antipsychotics, or is it in a new class of its own in terms of its chemical structure?
Thanks,
Dave

Its kinda hard to be anything else. I mean atypical antipsychotics is to typical AP as postive is to negative, or as left is to right, there cannot be a new group. However, Abilify may only target the positive symptoms, making it a typical AP. But thats doubtfull. At 13 bucks a pill, (in canada it will be cheaper, probably 10 bucks canadian whenever it becomes available) it _better_ cover all positive, negative and cognitive symptoms. I may take this drug eventually if its any good (if it has the strength of clazaril).
