has anyone ever taken paxil and effexor at the same time? my doc perscribed me effexor almost a week ago in combination with 50mg of paxil and 15 mg or serax. anyone else take this combo? i can't seem to find any info regarding this either

found the answers i was looking for. I guess no one here knew or else they just weren't interested in answering my post. effexor works on the norepinepherine system while paxil works on the serotonin system so they are both ok to take together if anyone should need this info for future reference

Thank you for that information. Although I am on Prozac right now, my doctor is going to try Effexor as well since she is not seeing the results she had hoped for.
I wasn't able to answer your questions, but certainly appreciate the knowledge since I will need the info soon.
