Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience of Neurontin actually contributing to or causing anxiety?
I've only taken 100mg in the evenings a few times, and definitely feel increased nervousness afterwards.I understood that this med was supposed to have an almost immediate, short-lived calming effect? Or is it the usual case of persevering for a few weeks until any supposed benefits are seen?

I never had anxiety on Neurontin. It's my understanding that it *should* work right away. It probably did for me but the fatigue/brain fog side effects were so strong I couldn't tell. Those took about 3 days to go away for me. There's a website called "neurontin faq" (put in google and it should come up) that has a lot of neurontin info.
good luck

Hey Colin,
Neurontin made me feel pretty mellow at first, but after 6 months, I became increasingly anxious and even hostile.
I am prone to mixed stated of agitated depression, extreme irritability and restlessness. Neurontin did nothing for these problems.
Hope your are doing well,
Amy
