I took for Effexor for 2 years, and I always split my dose between am and pm! eg, 150mg AM, 150mg PM.

Over the past 3 weeks I've been taking Effexor XR on a 36 hour schedule. Meaning that one day I would take it in the morning, the next day I would take it at night, and the following day I wouldn't take any. Once you're on it for a few weeks (I'm approaching 2 months) I don't think it really makes a difference as long as you take it.

PM - sometime between dinnertime and bedtime. I was too sleepy if I took it in the am.

I took mine at night as it made me sleepy.
