Need excuse to taste orange Sol-Tab.
No, but seriously- I can't find anything on Remeron being used for social anxiety, even if it's not good for it... what about Remeron added to my current 150mg of Effexor?
I've been taking Effexor for 3 weeks now, and sort of curious about Remeron in case two months from now nothing's happened.

Effexor is used for generalized anxiety, and Remeron is used for anxiety and somatization. That Remeron may give you much sedation (increased histamines) at the low dose of 15 mg. You have to go to 30-45 mg to overcome that. But my guess is that the Effexor will work after a month at either 75mg/day or 150 mg/day. I went up to 225mg/day with Effexor XR (single dosing). The Remeron is said to be weak compared to Effexor.

How low of a dose should I take Orange-flavored Remeron SolTabs for for it to be ineffective/non-effective, so that I can use it in flavor augumentation with Effexor?

Utopizen,
Since you crave colorful flavorful pills, why not buy some of those chewable kiddy vitamins? They come in all kinds of shapes/colors/flavors.

Remeron SolTab is available in 15 mg, 30 mg and 45 mg tablets. The standard daily-defined dose is 30 mg taken once daily. Since it increases seratonin and noradrenaline more at the higher doses, and you don't want it to be effective, then you should use the lowest dose it seems. But I would as a Doctor. At 15 mg it may make you sleepy. You could try half of that.
