I have been taking 3 mg of Ativan per day and .25 mg of Clonazapam for a month now. The Ativan is very short lasting. I have tried taking .25 mg of Clonazapam 3 to four times daily but, unless I drink strong coffee, It totally zonks me. I'm wondering if Xanax would be the better alternative. Help.

Ask your doctor about clorazepate (Tranxene), instead of clonazepam (you might be able to take it just 2x daily). I'm assuming you aren't having panic attacks (just severe generalized anxiety). It isn't as sedative as clonazepam and lasts a long time. Xanax is very short acting (more so than Ativan).

>Ovation Pharmaceuticals recently bought this and methamphetamine HCL (Desoxyn) from Abbott. They claimed both drugs have been under-marketed.
They must be right, since I've never heard of either before I started taking Desoxyn.
