I've been tapering my 75mg dose of Effexor for about 6 weeks now. I would guess I'm now taking about 25mg. For the last week or so, when I last dropped the dose, my face has been sore. I don't think I'm clenching my jaw, but it's my cheekbones. Also I'm so itchy! My clothes are bugging me and I'm fidgety.
Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know if I should atribute this to withdrawal or not!

I had the 'severe' itching when starting Effexor.
Doc took me off of it very quickly, no rash but really bad itching. Hopefully it will clear up for you. Face hurting sounds like sinus problems but who knows.

Yes, my face hurt, its such an odd thing, but it did, my eyes hurt, my throat was sore and everything ached, either being on the Effexor or going off of it.
The "clothes bugging you" problem, I've always had but it was hugely exacorbated with the Effexor, I felt almost without a break, that I couldn't stand one more minute in my own skin.
I don't usually have a major problem with self-injury but the frustration caused by that "inner itch" (its all I can describe it as) drove me to
injure myself almost daily, I suspect just so I could feel something else, and somehow feel in control of it.
Good luck with the withdrawl. I hope to be down to where you are in a couple of weeks.

Well, I wonder what they'd say if I showed up for work in my track pants? I can't even leave my hair down. Complain complain. Hopefully in a month I'll be off off off! And never again!
Thanks for your commiseration. Hey at least we have our senses of humour eh? Don't let the b@stards get you down I always say! Well, actually Bob Dylan said it, but I agree.

Just a little trivia, Don't let the bastards grind you down, was originally (or one of the original expressions was Latin far pre-dating Bob Dylan. Ni Illegitimi Carborundum.
Hey if we were born first they'd be quoting us
thats what I say.I named my son after Bob Dylan.
His adoptive parents changed it though...
I hope it wasn't something like Justin Timberlake..Yeah sorry but the withdrawl's no fun... (to say the least)
Ibuprofen helped me a lot, actually any anti-inflammatory.
My only other suggestion, not my original either.. A padded room for the home. That way you never have to leave.
Just get some pillows, a staple gun, rubber sheets you can buy at any Goth store....
You get the picture.
Sorry, and hey I haunt the Social Babble board cause I can't ever stay on topic or be brief something I would dearly love to blame on Effexor but I would be lying.
Yeah GinJoint and Sandra Dee at the Social bablle were talking about making Depression fisher price dolls with little housecoats, blood shot eyes and
lithium tremors.. if you need some commiseration thats a great place . TRUST ME I'm not a doctor but I have some buried under my floor boards (wishful thinking)

I will check it out! I have no trouble following you - scary eh?

P.S. I'm sure it's nothing like Justin Timberlake. That's a made up name, like Pompous VonBigbottom.
