Has anybody had success with Neurontin? I am no longer on antidepressants for quite a while now [just Xanax as needed for anxiety] and I have migraines, and sometimes feel a bit irritated. any thoughts on Neurontin; I'm thinking of going on it. Thanks.

I Take Nuerontin and have not felt any affects of it. I have been taking it only for 3 weeks but I have no side effects or any good effects as of yet

I tried Neurontin ages ago for prevention of migraine, but it didn't work for me. I don't remember if it helped with anger/irritablity. I am having an extremely rough time with both those issues and found a discussion board about migraines that I have found extremely helpful: http://www.migrainepage.com/. You'll find several if not dozens of people who have tried Neurontin for migraine prevention. I hope it helps.

I am finishing my first week on Neurontin for the prevention of migraines. I'm currently at 100mg three times a day, and tomorrow am supposed to move up to 200mg three times a day. I've found it to be giving me a slightly foggy/out-of-it state of mind. Still, it's tolerable thus far. I'm also on 112mg of Effexor a day to help my GAD. The first day or two were the worst, but now have almost gotten back to normal. I worry that the dosage increase will make me totally out of it for a few days. I have not noticed any change in mood or anger/emotions.
I've noticed a dip in my libido since starting the Neurontin, but that may just be a coincedence, and a natural cycle of mine. I'm hopeful this will help prevent the headaches; I've already tried several other preventative meds with no success.
jamesdean, thanks for the link to that migraine site! I'm interested to see others' experiences and successes.
