I have been on lexapro about two weeks now, 10 mg..Id like to know if there are sexual side effect like hard to achive orgasm. I have experienced that with other antipressants and that in intself is depressing...anyone have info and experience on this subject??

I have been on Lexapro 10 mg/day for 3 weeks and 6 days as of today. I haven't noticed a sexual s/e at all.
However, I noticed one when I was on Paxil a few months ago, from 10 mg/day all the way up to 30 mg/day.Myst

I am lex 10 mg and it takes alot longer to reach orgasm.Have you had any weight gain or heard of weight gain from lex? thanks

hi mudbunny...too soon to tell about weight gain. however in just two weeks i notice i have a better appetite and i was thin to begin with so im hoping it will help me eat. Im also hoping it will not make me over eat as i have found with most antidepressants. I dont want 20 pounds creeping up on me in a few months which was the case with other meds i have tried. how about you what has been the effect on your appetite?

hi again mystia..I was on paxil in the past and it ruined my orgasms. I have not been on an antidepressant in 3 years. Thanks for you e-mail when i first started lexapro. I have had very few side effects but the jury is still out on the sexual side effects for me. Im feeling great now too.

Hi, Maririp I have been on 200 mg of wellbutrin for about a month. No side affects at all. My doctor put me on lex 10 mg to help with my obssession. I have been on it for 1 week. My appetite seems to be a decrease. I am so afraid of gaining weight. This is my first time on anything. I was scared to go on pills. Its hard to come to terms with needing meds to help me function.
