The good news--I am finally off Paxil after seven long years of trying to stop. I tried taking Prozac to ease off the Paxil, but couldn't do it. Tried Celexa and I was just fine stopping the Paxil.
I'm three weeks out (20 mg/day) and am noticing a couple of things:
anxiety is reduced (good thing since I am supposed to taper off my Klonopin)
when I am at the gym and stand up after a set, I am SO DIZZY I feel faint
my blood pressure is noticably lower
It's been good for anxiety but I feel sluggish and still depressed.
Psych will probably try something new (major depression+panic disorder). Anyone else go through this?
Should I give it another few weeks before I switch?
Thanks group,
Pattisun

In reply to Paxil to Celexa, not feeling good...., posted by Pattisun on September 10, 2002, at 1:57:35
You said that you feel tired on Celexa. The new version of Celexa, Lexapro, causes less tiredness and is stronger against depression. Give it a try before you give up on Celexa. Lexapro just became available last week.
I have taken Celexa (60 mg) for 3 years. I am now on my 2nd day of Lexapro (20 mg) and I feel less tired.
This is the end of the thread.
