Hey folks:I have been having a bit of success with Taurine in both helping anxiety and my bipolar symptoms. See, my doc believes I am "soft" bipolar 2, but my cycling is the worst of my condition. He feels that is why larger doses of mood stabalizers just make me very depressed.
So, I am going to give Choline (in a small dose) a shot also, and see what happens from there. I find if I can get and keep my sleep patterns the same EVERY night, I will be pretty darn close to "very well". It's been 10 or so years of experiments, and I never throught of combining well-researched 'alternative' treatments with regular ones. It seems everyone is either completely "medication" or "alternative" oriented.
One interesting point I found today was that I didn't feel the need to pop back a few benzos to relax...that I just felt rather 'smooth' and fine. I am positive the Taurine helps in that respect..and it can be noted that Taurine is also useful in seizure control. I don't have seizures...but I thiink there is a co-relation between them and panic/anxiety.
Anyhow...
Peace,
Jay

How much, i.e. mgs of these compounds are needed for a therapeutic effect? If the number is huge, where do you get the pills?
Thanks,
