I have been taking 20mg of Celexa since December of 2001. I have just cut down to 10mg with no real noticable difference. Of course I am waiting for some weird withdrawl effects. None yet.
My question is this. My sister says I am doing so well on the Celexa that I shouldn't stop. But I don't want to take this stuff forever, mostly because I feel it could be causing my stomach problems. I have alot of gas on this stuff, to the point that it builds up so bad that I feel like someone is choking me and then when I burp I feel better. It is very uncomfortable, even very painful sometimes. So I am going to try and quit Celexa, to see if the gas pain goes away. I am worried that I will get all weird again, and that the celexa won't work a second time round, but I am not to sure what to do.
I suffer from anxiety/depression or I am an anxious depressive. The bouts come every 5 to 6 years.
Thanks,

Hi,
If your doing well on Celexa then I'd definately advise you to stay on it and look for an additional cure for the build up of gas. I made a big mistake in coming off and going back on SSRIs a few times. Now they won't work and I bitterly regret it.
