Nardil vs Parnate which would you recommend for the least amount of sexual disfunction? I've tried all the SSRI's , effexor...all of them. I suffer from SAD and depression, which med. would you recommend. please correspond

Hi, I'm not sure which SSRI or antidepressant does not cause sexual dyfunction. I'm just asking if my prozac is not working, as it is not causing sexual dyfunction on me even though I'm on 80mg.

Trazodone is one of the drugs that can reverse the sexual dysfunction from Prozac. So it's very possible that if you took Prozac by itself, you would have some degree of dysfunction.

Hi, not yet. Does it help with OCD? Should it be used in combination with Prozac?

Hi,
The only way to tell is if the drug is not effective for your symptoms after several weeks of treatment. You either don't experience SD on prozac or the trazodone resolves this problem for you.

I'm taking generic prozac from Hungary (Deprexin). I'm on 80 mg prozac, 6.25 mg Tianeptin and 50 mg trazodone. I'm also taking high concentration fish oil capsules to supplement myself with EPA and DHA. The fish omega 3 acids are supposed to help with the OCD.

My husband had no sexual dysfunction problems at all with when he was on Prozac. The Prozac *really* helped his depression a lot. The only difference was, perhaps, that he was interested in sex a little less often than before. HTH.
