I was wondering if anyone out there has ever tried Desoxyn. Desoxyn is the pharmaceutical/Schedule II legal with a triplicate prescription tablets form of Methamphetamine hcl made by Abbott laboratories.
Is Desoxyn (methamphetamine hcl) really any better than Dexedrine/Dextrostat (dextroamphetamine sulfate)?
The methyl group in methamphetamine means it is supposed to penetrate the brain better than dextroamphetamine but its half life is only around 4 or so hours while for Dextroamphetamine it is 10.25 hours.How long does Desoxyn last?
I was thinking of casually mentioning/asking about Desoxyn to my psychiatrist but not sure that is a good idea. I think the DEA watches Desoxyn prescriptions like a hawk & my psychiatrist might think i'm a speed freak, not just in search of the medicine that works the best.
Desoxyn is now available in IR/immediate release and CR/controlled release tablets. The gradumet (time release) forms have been discontinued.
How much Desoxyn IR would equal Dextrostat 40 mg/day?

> 3 Beers....Methamphetamine definitely lasts longer than dextroamphetamine, and I can tell you this from extensive personal experience.
Methamphetamine is smoother than dextroamphetamine (i.e. less likely to cause jitteriness and bad physical effects), so IMO it is a better drug...then again it can be used recreationally at higher doses which is probably why it is so heavily regulated.
