Please, if anyone can help me on this. I am currently on 30mg of Remeron, .5mg clonazepam. The Remeron has relieved my suicidal thoughts, but I need to augment this with something for major depression and breakthrough anxiety (panic attacks). I heard him say something about topomax but I have heard people mention it has alot of dangerous side fxs. Is there anyone who was at my level and added something to rem and clonazepam to boost effects???????????????????

Why don't you start with an SSRI like
Celexa or Zoloft? Remeron + SSRI is a good duo.
Probably the best bet to help with the depression
and panic.I haven't heard of Topamax helping much with panic? Have
you heard to the contrary?You could add Neurontin to the mix. It has moderate
antianxiety effects, but I don't know if it would do
the trick to stop panic attacks, the SSRIs are better
options.Hmm, I dunno, I have heard anecdotal reports of Trileptal/Tegretol
being used to help with panic, but I think this is
mostly unproven at this point.John

Hi...
Try any ssri or Effexor. This option are probably the best in you case. I´m quite sure about that. Effexor + Remeron is very powerfull for major depression. It is a great combo for refractary (cronic) depression. I have used it myself with very good result.

I took Rem with a Lithium augment. It worked well. I also took Rem with Wellbutrin SR. Also a good combo.

I'm currently taking Remeron-15mgs./Clonazepam-0.5mgs/bid and 37.5mgs of Effexor XR. Others have posted negative results with Rem./Effex.augmentation but I must agree with Peters on it's effectivness. I realize this is a fairly small dose but sometimes less is better;with the option of increasing either,depending on one's needs. Take care, Rick.
