If you didn't like withdrawal from paxil you won't like effexor either. They are really the worst two.
Instead of using paxil cr to get off paxil, maybe try a different ssri. otherwise you could just get hooked on the cr.
Anyone have opinions on the best option?

I would try the liquid Celexa. Celexa is just a little more activating than Paxil and has about a 35 hour half-life. Using the liquid-you could taper the dose of the Celexa down more gradually. Prozac, ideally could be the best way to get off because it takes weeks to wash out of your system, but Prozac can be very agitating for some people (esp. if you are used to Paxil's brain fog).Mitch
