My diagnosis is BPII w. lots of anxiety (social phobia + panic attacks). I've been experiencing way too much irritability/"easy to anger", which is "not me". We've eliminated the Paxil I was taking, as antidepressants have caused this irritability in me before.
Only meds. left are 300mg./day Neurontin, 2mg./day Klonopin, 100mg./day Topamax, 25mg./day Seroquel at bedtime.
I suspect Topamax because:
1) my psychopharm. has recently upped the dose to help in my failed trial of Lamictal, and
2) the irritability seems to date back to when we introduced several new meds. in Dec. of 2000 - the only one of those new meds. I am still taking is the Top.Anyone having knowledge of/experience with this problem, I'd appreciate hearing from. It's to the point where I just want to lock myself away to protect others from me.

Absolutely. I just replied to someone above about the same thing. I feel so much better that others are experiencing the same thing. Well, you know what I mean.
Maybe I will go out and get the puching bag. My language is bad and the my internal ranting and raving is awful. I've scared off some family members altough have mended fences to most, I think . . .oh, some friends I've offended to as I've just come out with things without even thinking

I read your earlier post that you mention (i.e. "Topamax and weight and sleep and mood" thread) - that's me too.
This pretty much confirms my suspicions about Top.
