No, they're not -- and there's no reason why something like this would vary depending on what country you live in!
Why do you ask?

Elizabeth:
I also wondered re: the country thing, but wasn't sure what other difference there could be.
Isn't Neurontin considered quite safe for the liver and kidneys, and I know it doesn't require a blood test to determine its "level" like Depakote does.
Thanks! Just curious.

From my experience, you will find this much less intrusive. It is thought to be more of an anti-anxiety med than a stabilizer, though there are posts here to the contrary.
I liked it because it was so easy for my body to handle, but, unfortunately, it didn't help me much.
From my limited knowledge, I don't know of any reason not to try it Dear Dr.

Hi
Doc suggested blood test...maybe it's just routine but at the time I thought it wasn't needed for gabapentin..oh well I'll have it done anyway.
The gabapentin is VERY good for anxiety ..as for moods , well it can be quite elevating at first..yesterday someone observed that I had a manic surge due to environmental stress so whether or not it controls my rapid mood I'll have to see.
I have increased to 900mg x3 hoping to increase more
THANKS..
This is the end of the thread.
