KatieB--
I have been using acupuncture for over a year to help with the s.e.'s of the medications I take for depression.
It is with my pdoc's encouragement that I get acu. I am fortunate to have a terrific teaching college in my town that has a great clinic staffed by interns.
My main complaints addressed by acupuncture (no total relief but absolute improvement in lessening of symptoms)are: stomach woes due to meds., anxiety, insomnia, and overall support for just fighting this disease full time.
Any acupuncturist should be able to explain what they are doing and why. Also check to see if they are licensed in your state or province. HTH.
