Is this stuff supposed to help for depression/anxiety. I take it with klonopin and that;s all. Is it supposed to be mono-therapy cuz it worked for about 3 months but lately the depression has been extremely bad.

Tina,
Sorry you feel so depressed. But I think this is pretty common with depakote. It really flatted out my up moods fast. Over time I think it helped with anxiety, but not for a few weeks.I would give it time, but I would imagine you might have to add a small amount of AD to you regime. Klonipin and Depakote are both mood stablizers, so it's probably safe to add an AD. Have you told your pdoc how lousy you feel?
I am bp2 and I take 1.5 mgs celexa and 20 mgs amitriptyline. A little AD makes a big difference for me, and takes the edge off the depakote blah feeling.Take care,
Chloe
