anti-depressant withdrawal

Posted by vik on March 26, 2002, at 12:38:32

I am conducting an experiment on myself!

After struggling to come off paroxetine (paxil, seroxat,) which I was prescribed for panic attacks/depression, I have gone on to prozac. The idea is this will be easier to come off in a few months time. Any views?

Yes, it was very easy for me to quit Prozac. Cold turkey from 40 mg/day, and did not feel anything at all. Prozac has a very long half life.

anyone tried to get pregnant after coming off Prozac? I've only just gone on it - but only want to be on it for a couple of months before trying for my second baby. There seems to be a real split in opinion between going cold turkey and tapering off? I had terrible withdrawal symptoms after going cold turkey on paxil/seroxat/paroxetine, so am a bit concerned...
