I have ben diagnosed as being bipolar.
However, I have experiend few manic episodes and
tend to fuction or rather try to function within
the depressive part of the disorder
I am currently taking Depakote 1250 mg,
Wellbutrin 450Mg, Lamictal 175 mg, and have just
recently started taking Risperdal 2mg,namely for
anxiety.
I was wondering if the amount of Risperdal seems
reasonable, or is it a bit high (what is the
general high end doseage?
Also, I have experienced a markedly decreased libido,
that is of some concern. As well, I was wondering if
Topamax would be a practical alternative to the
Risperdal as I have gained weight with the Depakote
and/or will the negative side effect of lowered
libido be just as evident with Topamax?
The doctor has said that if I respond well to the
Risperdal, that he might decrease the other meds.
Does this sound reasonable considering the amounts
that I take daily?
If anyone has any responses to any of these questions
it would be greatly appreciated.
This is the end of the thread.
