If you were taking topamax for bi-polar and your dose were too high what would the side effects be?

I had a terrible reaction to Topamax. I felt dizzy, nausiated, confused,almost as if I was outside my own body. I did not feel like myself at all. I was only taking 6 pills a day, but that is when the real problems started. Talk to your doctor about trying another med or changing the dose.
Hope all goes well, I'm still searching for the right med!!

i think a lot of people have referred to this drug as 'stupidmax', that was certainly my reaction. a lot of pdocs use it as an adjunctive mood stabilizer to help bipolar disordered patients lose the weight from all the other meds. take care- judy
