More on my pdoc quandry:

Posted by Janelle on March 14, 2002, at 17:17:05

To those who kindly responded to my post further above (and others too!) about my original pdoc not returning urgent phone calls, well I'm afraid there's more to it than just that. I've been so upset and unable to comprehend how someone in that profession could be that way plus my cognitive functioning is so low right now that I left out some other info. Based on what I'm about to clue you in on, I'd appreciate hearing if you still think I oughta switch pdocs:

Okay, I've been with this pdoc for over 10 years and up until just recently with the non-returned calls she has been WONDERFUL. She knows my entire history, understands me and we have great rapport during our office visits. I trust her and feel I can tell her anything, no matter how embarrassing it seem on the surface.

Up until recently she always did return calls promptly (I think stuff is going on in her personal life now, although that's still no excuse).

She had originally put me on Paxil and Klonopin and I THRIVED during what I now call the "Paxil years" until it pooped out last year and it's been since then that I'm having trouble finding the right combo of meds due to the development of a cycling pattern.

So, what do you think now about if I should switch, given the background history and basically great relationship I've established with this pdoc? Thanks for any and all input.
