Has anybody found that their fatigue was less with the SSRI's than with Effexor? To get at the dose that works, I am just wiped all day long.Thanx,
Jay

I have just started Efexor (2 mths) and am exhausted all the time. This is really unhelpful as I was sleeping most of the day anyway before I started taking it. Otherwise it's working really well (better than anything else so far) and I don't want to have to stop taking it.. but I'm trying to do an intensive university course and am getting into trouble for missing classes...
Has anyone found it gets better over time?AL

I've been on 225 mg. of Effexor for about 2 months and the exhaustion has gotten better. Then suddenly some days I am totally wiped out. Then the next day I'm fine....go figure!

I've been taking 225mg for about four months and am terribly fatigued as well. I have a very active life and can not tolerate this side effect. I have had success using Wellbutrin and Provigil (each used independently) to counteract the fatigue.

Hi everyone... I've actually never heard of Wellbutrin, Rx. What is it? Do you know what the UK name is? I have never yet had a GP who knew what he/she was talking about when it comes to depression medication. They deny that there are side effects, they deny that there are withdrawals, if you do have bad effects they say "well, maybe your inability to enjoy sex/exhaustion/headache/twitching face is worth it not to be depressed..." Rant. Sorry. back to the WEllbutrin question.
