A lugubrious sage
climbed a tree in a rage
to pluck a rare leaf for his mood
He was grinding his teeth
As he sought some relief
with a sprig that he'd add to his food.
when he reached for the leaf
a voice came from beneath
saying "dont taste the leaf mr sage"
or you'll soon feel so wierd
it'll straighten your beard
and the writing will dance off the page
but the leaf he still plucked
and quite soon he was ******
singing with glee as he chewed
Now his interest in life
and his foul ugly wife
was strangely and quickly renewed.
so the sage stumbled home
where he met a green gnome
with a twisted and sinister leer
thus transformed was his wife
who now ended his life
saying now she'd 'come out' and was queer.
By me.
