Hang on, Ross. We'll be counting the days down with you. When I feel so low & then later so good, I'm amazed that a tiny amount of a few chemicals can make such a monumental diffeence in our emotions. Hold on, guy.

I haven't been following your posts and will go back and look them over, but there are several things you can do in the meantime even if NArdil is up and coming.
Trazodone, Lithium, Benzos all will at least dull your pain until the nardil gets going. No serious interactions with those.
But in any event..As ISO said just hang on...Soon You'll be on your way to a better place...And I'm not talking about Heaven either!

Do Lithium and Trazadone have reasonably quick response times in situations like this?

Do you think that Lithium and/or Trazodone would be could for easing the withdrawal from an SSRI?

Good luck with Nardil; try to eat as much tyramine as you possibly can until then -- you might start to miss it soon.

I don't know...but when I was going to take Nardil and switch from Zoloft, thats what my doctor mentioned might help bridge the gap.
However, since tried Nardil before and had growing suspicions about BP II I never did it.

Bob,
That's a first class question..Bob!! I bet they would be helpful since they both increase the overall effect of serotonin. I cant say for sure, but that might be a great idea to consider. I'm anticipating coming off of Effexor soon and will put it to the test.

Just a shot in the dark but please read this previous post of mine:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/20020208/msgs/94032.htmlIt's the end of day 4 now & still no withdrawal/discontinuation symptoms! I use to get them if I was even late for my dose before. I'd get them when I was even tapering off a piece of shaving of a pill.
Now nothing! I'm totally amazed but very, VERY happy. I've been wanting to get completely off my hated Paxil for so long.

==================================================I am truly happy that you seem to have finally succeeded with a successful withdrawal. I myself have been tapering down Luvox over the past few months, and it has gotten quite unmanageable at 25mg. My doctor and I decided to add Celexa to the mix, and then taper off the Luvox. That was only a few days ago, so we'll see how it goes.
Again, congratulations on your success.

Hope your switching to Celexa does the trick for you! Now I understand why you were asking me about the Celexa I take. Post back to let us know how the tapering/switch goes please. Sometimes when I don't hear from a person for a while, I wonder whether they improved (& that's why we don't hear from them) or things got worse.
How much Luvox were you taking initially? Each time I lowered the Luvox dose, I'd experience another onrush of symptoms.

Yes, I'll post back.
I was on 100mg for about 6 months, then I started to taper down: 75, 50, 37.5, and now 25mg. Every dosage change towards the low end was associated with a flurry of symptoms (both withdrawal, and psychological).
