Remeron will turn you into a savage beast that ravages for food without the slightest bit of satiety. (Me anyways) I lost 30 pounds on Effexor compared to Zoloft. But I only take 75mg of Effex.Scott

Hi,
I keep hearing that Remeron causes such weight gain! However, supposedly it doesn't have the sexual side effects (so you're fat, yet frisky!) that Effexor and others have. I'm on Effexor and have lost 12 pounds in 4 weeks.

I lost on effexor xr for first few weeks. Then put on
about 80 lbs in 18 months. (With exercise and
dieting. Just a constant appetite.)AS

I lost several pounds on effexor, then maintained the lower weight.
With Remeron, which I detested, I gained 9% of my body weight in 6 weeks!
Most people lose weight on Effexor; most people gain wait on Remeron.
This is the end of the thread.
