I think my brain is doing funny things cause all of a sudden Dr. Bob's photo has funny colors and auras and stuff and I know Im not on anything else. . . ;-P
So as I said before when I started Wellbutrin I was getting headaches, felt spacy and some other stuff. I kept on 50mg (cut tablet in half) and then would take another a couple hours apart. Finally the side effects went away. I was left with the activiating affect of the drug which its supposed to have and is good for me. :) (I also now only take 600mg of Neurontin in the am otherwise another 300mg negates and its relaxation/tiredness negates the activation to some degree. And them maybe 300mg later in the afternoon.) I tried taking 1 whole tablet but the SR quality doesnt do as much for me as if I cut one tablet in half and take both at once. So Ill do that between 9 and 11 am and then about 12 or 1pm take another half. So far so good. I dont go later than that cause I dont want to have problems going to sleep. Which I may have.
I read about people taking ritalin or adderall with Wellbutrin. I decided to try an experiment. This past weekend after taking 100mg wellbutrin, a few hours later, took 1/4 tablet of Ritalin (20mg SR). This time I had no chest or head pain. Instead I got the positive benefit of it which was being calm and relaxed and focused. Nice! The absense of the chest and head pain leads me to believe that the wellbutrin primed my brain chemistry so to speak to accept the ritalin whereas before it would not accept the ritalin on its own. Very interesting!

Well at least it went away by itself.> Ps. Have you tried the generic buproprion hcl?

I have insurance so I pay a fixed small cost for meds regardless of price or quantity.I also forgot to mention that I do have a bit of the Bruxism, tightness in the jaw, from Wellbutrin that other people mentioned. Its more of an annoyance than a big problem and as long as the other side effects are gone Ill see how it goes.
