that wasn't the specific reason I started taking it but it worked really well. Made me so drowsy, I couldn't function at all!! So i only took it at night.
Didn't help me to sleep right through the night though. I woke up alot during the night but then again, I do that anyway.

Do you have a treatment plan? Do you know how long you should take seroquel? Do you have a backup plan if you suffer from side effect?

My concern is that it might cause insomnia when you stop it and if you suffer from side effect and have to stop it, what are you going to do with insomna? If you do not have side effect but if you stop it, you have insomna. Now you have no choice but take it forever. If you know the answeres to all of these concerns, please reply. thank you very much.

My Dr. did not seem to care much about side effects and did not answere or provide info needed. I have no place else to ask. My Dr. said my insomnia could last from 2yrs to 5yrs and I have to take seroquel for 1 to 2 yrs minimum, else look for another Dr. for second opinion. I feel uncertain and discouraging.

I only stayed on it a very short time ttt. It had major nausea effects for me so I had to stop it.
I didn't have any insomnia when weaning off of it though. I have insomnia most of the time anyway but I didn't notice an increase in it after getting of the seroquel.
As to how long you need it for , that's between you and your doc. I'm sorry I don't have the info you want. I hope someone else would be more helpful.
Best of luck ttt
