Your success on this combo has intrigued me, so I have a few questions for you, mainly what type of depressives would respond best to this combo. My symtoms are lack of energy, lack of motivation, no confidence, no real joy in my life, fear of being judged, no excitement, and social withdrawl. I feel bored and worthless. Were these symtoms similar to yours before you tried this combo? I was thinking of combining these with low-dose Prozac and Klonopin, as you have suggested. I've always felt unconfident and socially anxious, but the depression is somewhat new to me (2yrs.). I'm guessing it has to do with my past abuse of MDMA. Caffeine makes me feel much more focused, motivated and happy. GHB totally wipes out my social anxiety, but causes anger and reckless behaviour, as well as rebound anxiety and hard depression for days afterwards. I also feel much better in the morning. Would you suggest this combo? Can it induce mania? During the summer I did steriods (500mg. of testosterone per week) and it brought on rapid cycling of up and down periods (about 5 days of each before cycling back). This has stopped, but I feel I may be prone to it. I've never tried any meds. (except 5-htp, which worked okay with depression), nor have I been to see a doctor, although I plan on going soon. So, what's your advice? Try it or not? You seem really knowledgable and helpful so I thought I'd ask. Thanks alot.

I think Amisulpride and Adrafinil are good choices for the symptoms you described. These are choices though that most people don't think about trying until they have failed several more conventional approaches. But it is a tame enough combination in terms of side effects. You also asked about mania. Just about any psychiatric drug has the potential to influence mania or cycling. It happens only a small percentage of the time though.Regardless of what you do, it would be a good idea to have a doctor involved. But when you get into medications from other countries, it is pretty tough to find a doctor who's insurance will allow him/her to be involved. A few people here pretty much gave up on doctors and took matters into their own hands, successfully. But usually only after much frustration, several failed medication trials, and a failure of the doctor to get a handle on it or to at least promote some hope.
I like the combination of drugs you mentioned, but I must admit I am torn between two different approaches:
1) Do you let someone with no drug experience start a combination of drugs? That could be tricky and maybe not a wise idea.
2) Do you start off with unconventional approaches right from the beginning, or do you do the conventional stuff first?Regardless of the fact that I like the drugs you mentioned, I would say that no matter what you do, take it slow and easy.
