Desperate for Medical Care (research studies?)

Posted by Moulin Rouge on November 1, 2001, at 1:56:06

Hi,

Can someone maybe help me find a research study that would really help me and maybe earn me a little money in the process?

I am desperate for medical care. I am unemployed (and unemployable, I feel), but I don't seem to qualify for any free medical care because I do have some savings (pennies that I have to pinch to get by until I can get better). It's a crappy situation. I need medical care to get better, but I have only enough money to live on for another 6 months or so.

Anyway, I could really use some help here. If no one has any specifics, maybe just help me brainstorm? I'm guessing that a research study would be the way to go, but I want to find one that will hopefully pay me something.

Thanks!

When I lived near DC, I had the opportunity to get treatment and even make money at several places - like N.I.H. Alot of research going on around there.

One study involved seeing what happens to prozac users when deprived of sleep.

The bigger university hospitals often have studies that provide free treatment too.
