Intetresting dreamer...because to me, benzo's are the best anti-suicide drug around. (For me..as I said.) I often save benzo's, and always have a few extra in storage, and if I reach a point in time where the pressure is just horrid, just a small dose, I do some breathing exercises, and my mental pain starts to melt away. It is not something, though, I could do on a daily basis, as even though I don't buy most of the popular "addiction" theories about them, I do think your body can get used to them is used everyday. Then again, some people do great on them everyday, and some have a tough time with them, like yourself.

I think I need to do some howling at the moon too..:-)

Dreamer, my doc just put me on Ativan (.5mg as needed). While I don't get severe depression after using it, while on it I am essentially feeling numb. Its a very unnerving feeling. Then again I had basically the same thing with klonopin (up to 2mg as needed). While I can't see myself getting nerved up enough to commit suicide on ativan, if my mood were as perpetually a flat ringer as it is on Ativan, I could see it happening. As for what else to use, I don't know. GHB, when available, was the best darned thing there was for anxiety IMO, also a very potent antisuicidal + antidepressant, not addictive (except in terms of how love itself can be addictive) or tolerance inducing. Unfortunately I believe it is now illegal in your country too so scratch that (might want to look up and see if GBL or 1,4 Butanediol is illegal yet there, if not, you may have what you're looking for)

Some people have had success with various antidepressants (some of the more sedative ones, and paradoxically, also the MAOi's), have you tried this approach?
