I have been taking Geodon ( along with my 20 mg of Prozac) for 10 days now and don't see any signs of improvement at all. After the very fast, positive effect of Zyprexa, this is somewhat frustrating. Am I being too impatient? Thanks, Collette

What diagnosis are you taking Geodon for, Psychosis or Depression? And how much are you taking?

I am taking Geodon for depression. Prozac alone has pooped out for me for the past few years. I had the most amazing reaction to Zyprexa...I was literally CURED overnight and then the weight started piling on. I found being overweight and with no end in sight, not the answer that I had been looking for. Based on my reaction to this atypical depression treatment, our next choice was Geodon, but nothing is happening after 10 days. NOTHIING. I spoke with my pdoc on the phone yesterday and he suggested perhaps I try something else, but I was wondering if that was giving the Geodon enough of a chance ( I have a large financial investment in it too!)Tomorrow, I will start taking all 40 mgs at night ( since that dose makes me drowsy and perhaps, at least I will get a good nights sleep.
