Well, I may have to try Luvox (Serzone and Remeron are both scaring the heck out of me), and my pdoc is all for me trying Luvox, especially since I can be obsessive and also compulsive (but do not have full-blown OCD). I hear Luvox can be mildly sedating.
If anyone here has any experience or knowledge about Luvox I would appreciate hearing it.
Thanks, Janelle

I was on Luvox for four years for OCD. It did seem to effectively control the obsessive thoughts and anxiety. I sometimes thought, however, that it worked by making my memory too poor to remember anything I might have done wrong. I definitely felt "stupid" on Luvox. It also flattened out my emotions to such an extent that it eventually was unacceptable, since I wasn't able to feel anything, good or bad. However, I did stay on it for four years, so it must have been helpful for me, and I didn't have any other unpleasant side effects. Of course, everyone's experience is different.

< < < < I have been on Luvox 250mg. a day for about 3 months after tying almost everything out there. I have to say it seems to work the best out of all the ssri's for anxiety. I also take it with Wellbutrin and Ritalin. I think this is about the best I have felt for a while. I had problems with obsesive thoughts and S.P. which have seemed to decrease markedly. About the "stupid" side effect, I hve experinced it too I guess it is not just my imagination
