Dear Sal,Nomifensine is dead.
It was pulled off the market within a year of its FDA approval under the trade name "Merital". There were numerous reports of fatal hemolytic anemia associated with its use.
As I remember, it displayed the following actions:NE reuptake inhibitor, releaser
DA reuptake inhibitorIt was one of the only drugs that I responded to, if only briefly.
Not to be too nosey, but it seems to me that you are moving too fast and without direction. I understand your behavior in this regard only too well. My advice is to slow down and perhaps be more methodical. I am guessing that you are self-medicating. If you are, I think you should consider constructing and putting to paper a treatment algorithm and try to follow it. Be careful with moclobemide. It is not %100 free of adverse drug interactions and serotonin syndrome, despite Joffe's assertions. It is also not %100 free of the tyramine reaction. Some suggest to limit the intake of tyramine at any one meal to 50mg. It sounds like you are probably going up to 1200mg/day.
Sincerely,
Scott
