For all who have suffered withdrawal from Paxil, as I did, I just heard on CNN Headline News that about 35 people (so far) have filed a LAWSUIT against the manufacturer of Paxil, claiming it caused them SEVERE and unexpected withdrawal symptoms! They say that the manufacturer does not mention this anywhere and that they should. The news report also mentioned that Paxil is the worst of the SRI a-d's for causing withdrawal when discontinued. It may become a class action lawsuit and so far the company has declined to comment. Just thought this might be of interest here!

Oh no! Did you by any chance go through bad withdrawal from EffexorXR? I'm tapering off it, down to the lowest (37.5mg/day) dose which I'm gonna stay on awhile (unlike the disasterous rapid taper off Paxil that the pdoc had me do), but I'm scared - I do NOT want to go through what I did going off Paxil. I hear that Effexor is a tough one to get off of, so I'm wondering in light of your response here if you had a hard time going through some kind of withdrawal from Effexor?
I will take my chances in a few weeks and stop it after being on 37.5 mg/day and do a lot of praying that I don't get any reeeeeeal bad symptoms.

Starting prozac now is suppose to help. There's threads with advice on this. I'm just not exactly sure where they are at.
Best Wishes

Given enough GREED, there would be litigation against Santa since his name is anagrammatical to Satan.
With the (fond) exception of AKC, lawyers RUINED this country.

However, I was told that their ilk was a "necessary evil" ... like napalm, I suppose.
And to think that I was considering Law School in my salad days.
