Neurontin and headaches

Posted by PuraVida on August 15, 2001, at 17:47:52

Anyone had any trouble with headaches on Neurontin? I added 300 mgs at night about two weeks ago to 400 mgs of Serzone and 10 mgs of Prozac for mood stabilization and anxiety. Seems to have helped a lot, but I keep having these dull headaches in the front of my head. I'm not a "headache" person, so they are annoying. Otherwise I like the Neurontin - seems to be helping. I do seem, also, to sleeping a bit more lately, so I'm planning on reducing the Serzone gradaully. Also, I seem to have lost a bit of weight that I was struggling with pre-neurontin...

I tried Neurontin for about 6 months with dose range from 100mg. 3 times a day to 300mg 3 times a day, and had pretty bad headaches from it at both dose levels.
Too bad, as Neurontin had a really beneficial effect on me (me= BipolarII + Social Phobia/Severe Anxiety).
Had to stop it due to the headaches and another side effect.

No headaches, dude. Lamictal gives me headaches. Neurontin makes me feel like I am high on Marijuana. Short acting and relatively benign drug.
