Hello.
Does anyone know if lithium (plus Remeron small dose) could be helpful for dysthymia ? I have been trying it for 4 weeks now, and still no response.
Remeron, or any other AD on their own, are not effective. Neither is amisulpride and Ritalin. I really don't know what to do.Thank you

It appears that your pdoc is trying to get you on mood stabilizers (Lithium/Depakote), but you say that you only have problems with dysthmia?? What did your pdoc diagnose you with? Those aren't meds usually used for that diagnosis. Please clarify.

My diagnose is dysthymia plus sometimes depression. I've also borderline personality.
I've already tried everything for my dysthymia/depression that's why i'm now trying mood stabilizers.

My suggestion would be Neurontin. I don't know if it is available where you live or not, but it appears to be good for BPD and bipolar and some anxiety disorders. Possibly a combo of an SSRi antidepressant (i.e. Paxil) and Neurontin
would work.Mitch
