HI, I am trying this again I don't know if the first one I sent got to you. I have been taking effexor xr for about 3yrs. I am taking 75mg. at nite before bedtime. It has worked very well with my depression and anxiety, but just recently within the last 3mo. I have noticed some difference, I have been getting alot of headaches, especially in the morning when I first wake up, I have alot of fatigue, and my bones and mucles hurt, also, I have this strange feeling in my stomach when I wake up in the morning, and just recently am having hot flashes. I notice when I eat or drink chocolate or caffeine my symptoms are worse, but I can understand that.........I am just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I prefer not to increase the med. because I have gained some weight and am very uncomfortable with it. Any suggestions.

Sounds like you could use a different medication, maybe something without weight gain like Wellbutrin or Serzone.
