I had taken Remeron up to 90 mg before for over a month and so that was a failed trial. But I was having trouble sleeping lately and figured that popping a Remeron might alleviate some of my insomnia. So I took 45 mg last night. In the middle of the night I woke up with this huge sexual fantasy that I never would have gotten normally (normally I have no sex drive). Remeron is some powerful stuff....

I have a chance to participate in a clinical trial of remeron to combat SSRI induced sexual dysfunction. After reading some of the posts on this board, I have started to get nervous. I am on Prozac and Wellbutrin. What do you think?

Weight gain
sedation (I once tried Serzone and it made me incredibly tired all of the time)
nightmares, trouble with reality (see Marsha on March 13 of this year.

Remeron is better than any sleeping pill for me.

I believe Remeron's most potent action is on the histamine-1 receptor.

Re: your chance to participate in a clinical trial of Remeron to combat SSRI induced sexual dysfunction, well, since you are on Prozac and Wellbutrin, both of which are supposed to be ACTIVATING, I would say go for it, since the P and W should counteract the drowsiness that is associated with Remeron. JMHO (Just My Humble Opinion)
