hi..
can alcohol have a really adverse (behavioral) effect w/risperdol, klonopin and/or depakote?? my husband has been on klonopin for quite some time, and within the last few months he's also gone on depakote and risperdol. recently (last few weeks) he has been very irrational and angry whenever he drinks. i've never known him to be like this and am very afraid he's going to become violent (he's come pretty close--it's very unlike him). i don't think it's just the alcohol. please help!

I dont know of the other drugs that you specify, but Klonopin being a benzodiazepine would of course be contraindicated with alcohol and would possibly cause the symptoms you describe.

a Person will become much more intoxicated when mixing benzos with alcohol.
I have had blackouts and become violent on
klonopin and alcohol or zanax and alcohol.
If your husband drinks alot on benzos you probably have a big problem on your hands.
