Posted by Keith on July 10, 2001, at 7:36:26

I am going through a very bad patch in my life and the end is not in sight, I have slipped in to depression and my shrink prescribed Celexa
After reading about celexa and these posts, how severe can a depression be and still bring on these great feeling that everyone is talking about. I need relief and some hope...

Keith, I started Celexa 5 weeks ago after breaking down and finally admitting my depression. I had felt extreme hopelessness and desperation prior. I truly didn't care if I awoke in the morning or not. I'm feeling much better at this time. I have energy to do my daily chores and routine (but need naps).I don't have an elated feeling on Celexa, just a feeling that I might be feeling "normal."

Hope it works for you -- be sure to give it time. Celexa doesn't work overnight. Usually takes about 6 weeks.
