My psychiatrist is upping my mirtazapine dose to 60mg. According to the manufacturers the maximum dose is 45mg. Is this any cause for concern?

Shouldn't be. I've heard of doses up to 90 mg a day. I was on 60mg a day and had less side effects compared to 15 or 30mg.

I went up to 75mg without any problems. Apparently, in Finland they routinely use 90mg.
