I have been on Welbutrin for about 3 years. When I talk, I have trouble finding words. Even very simple nouns don't come to mind readily. Names? Forget it. I go blank. Anyone else with this problem?

Sorry about the word finding difficulties... Aside from that are you depressed or cured?

Well, I got off of the medicine for about 4 months. My husband insisted there was nothing wrong with me, but after having constant crying spells and feeling sorry for myself, I got back on it about 2 months ago. I do fine some days, not so fine the other days. I am taking 150 mg each morning and have an appt. to see my Dr later this month. My guess is he will increase it. I have also had problems with mood swings and have taken depakote along with the Welbutrin. I can't even remember why I got off. He (Dr.) may put me back on that. I remember feeling more balanced. But this memory thing is frustrating. Thanks for answering.

If you want a word for not remembering words, it's aphasia. I take Wellbutrin and Depakote and I've had that side effect as well as some stuttering and word slurring that I didn't have pre-medication. I always blamed in on the Depakote though. I'm interested if it might be due to Wellbutrin because I always thought Wellbutrin increased mental acuity.

Well thanks for the word, but what do you suppose are the chances we'll remember it? :P
