Is buspar sedating or does it cause agitation or anxiety when you first start it? It seems to work differently than klonopin.

I took buspar prior to taking benzos. It would have a dizzying effect after taking it that would subside. It seemed to energize me more than calm me. I found it to be ineffective for even simple anxiety. It did have one good effect...was definitely good for sex. I don't know why that is I thought it raised prolactin levels and was a seratonin reuptake maybe someone else like Cam or Sal will know why. I stayed on it for 4 months also coming off of it was not as easy I had a hard time quitting.....actually such a hard time my doctor prescribed xanax.
