hello..
i have been on zoloft for about two months. and in the beginning
i was given xanax to control anxiety and panic attacks
(prn). however i noticed that i had rather large mood swings
and irritibility once i came down of the xanax.. i was still
getting occasional attacks. but they were not as bad.
now my dr has placed me on klonopin .5mg at 6am .5mg
at noon and 1mg at 8pm.. and i take ambien at bed to
help with my sleeping..i have had major sexual side effects, ie, no drive, at all
and have had mental blocks when my anxiety builds to a
certain level.. i am seeing another psych soon to
re evaluate my meds.. is there anyone else out there
in the same situation.. any recommendations, i am 31
and have most likely been suffering from some form of
panic/anxiety disorder for most of my life.. i am beginning
to feel more at ease in public.. but the sexual side
effects are causing major friction with my marriage..i need help..

Have you tried adding Wellbutrin?

not at this time.. would this replace the zoloft?
i am fighting bouts of depression and anxiety. i don't
want my marriage to suffer any longer.. tell me
more about wellbutrin.. please

I took Wellbutrin for a month and a half. I had no side-effects.
Here is why Wellbutrin is a good deal:*It has no anticholinergic side-effects.
*It has few, if any sexual side-effects. In fact, it may even improve sex drive and alleviate anorgasmia for some.
*Wellbutrin interacts negatively with few drugs, thus one could add most antidepressants to it (if need be).
*People like the stimulating effect of it.
*The new SR formulation can be taken 2 times a day instead of 3 times a day.
*No blood tests are needed.
*Wellbutrin IR is not as expensive as the SSRI's, mirtazapine, or venlafaxine.
*The danger of seizure with Wellbutrin is so low, that I doubt any ER around the country will ever see one.
